Free crocheting pattern for festive napkin rings

These napkin rings add the finishing touch to the Christmas table. An elegant detail that is guaranteed to be a topic of conversation among your guests.

material: yarn in red, black, white and (thin) gold crochet hook matching the yarn darning needle

Crochet is done in rounds . The strength of yarn and crochet hook determine the size of your rings. I have used a hook in 3 mm and yarn for hook size 3-4 mm. The thin golden yarn for the belt buckle is made with a 1.75 mm crochet hook.

Ring: work with red 24 chain stiches, close them to ring with a sl (24)

R1-8: sc (UK dc) across (24)
yarn off, cut the thread, pull through and sew.

Crochet a round frill with white yarn on top and bottom. Dazu *3ch, sc (UK dc) in second ch from hook, skip 1 st at red, work a sl*.

Belt: work with black 25 chain stiches, close them to ring with a sl (25)  or work in rows with turning chains and sew it together.

R1-2: sc (UK dc) across (26)

Belt buckle: hook 1.5 – 2 mm, work 20 ch stiches in thin gold (20), close them to ring with a sl , abketten, yarn off, do not cut the thread too short, pull it through completely and use it later to mount it to the belt.

Mounting:
Place the belt buckle in the middle of the belt and pin it at four corners on the edge of the belt. Indicate the buckle needle with two to three stitches. Attach the belt to the ring with a few stitches.
